where'd the week go?

It's been more than a week since our market and even longer since we were featured in the Mercury's Attitude section in an article on avoiding mass consumerism and supporting local and environmentally conscious producers.

The handmadehobart team just love Loopee designs and we're so glad to have them back on board for this market.

Putting the quirky back into practical, Loopee Designs has something for everyone, REALLY! from zippered pouches to pass port covers, covered journals to amazing bookmarks. Everything is lovingly hand made from the most amazing fabrics.

Another of our our exciting new stallholders is Sunday's Child, a range of delightful clothing and accessories for children in sizes 00 to 6.

Featuring whimsical appliques and made from the highest quality fabrics in a great range of bright and bold clolours for both girls and boys, this clothing is as practical (and meticulously handcrafted) as it is stylish.

What happens when the Premier calls an election on market day and our venue is enlisted as a polling place?

The market moves outside to provide voters with an opportunity to buy amazing things from some of Hobart's best designers and craftspeople of course!

How great is that??!!

Due to the change in format, we are taking late applications, but we quick, you only have until 5pm Tuesday 16th February. We'll be notifying applicants on Wednesday.

If you like to fiddle with things creative and have a talent for design. Whether you want to test your products on the market, or you're an established maker/designer, we want to hear from you.

We're particularly interested in hearing from foodies - so if you're a baker or confectioner, or if you just like to dabble in the kitchen and feel like you've got something to offer, drop us an email, but be quick!
